I may have found something with a clip I can't fuck up...
A Leatherman Brewzer:
Like I said, I have a thing for these little pocket tools.
Speaking of which, I'm also waiting for these:
And this:
The general pattern is called a "Blacksmith Knife". We do the Renaissance Faire thing sometimes, and I'm putting together a costume. It's not complete without a knife. Or two. Or three.
The GSO 4.1 is the only model that they have in stock as of this post. They have some options for blade finish, steel type, handle colors, and some other things.
The chinese imitation is actually something of a cross between the Dace and a Fixer. It's actually not a direct copy of a tool that I'm aware of. It takes elements of a couple.
Indeed. In my opinion, the copy is a more useful tool...
I see two or three other things there that I like, and some of my knives need other tools to hang from.
I hate to admit it, but Alibaba may get some of my American dollars.
Well, fellas, it wasn't supposed to be a bottle opener.
It was supposed to be a lanyard hole.
Bottle openers can get kind of pointy when they dig into the palm of your hand, and your palm spends quite a bit of time in contact with the back of a kiri.
So I try to keep these things having only one pointy end.
The idea of a lanyard hole is so that you can attach other items to the back of the knife to suit your multi-tool needs.
