The waterjet that I work with cuts a 1/16" kerf. Make sure you ask about this, because it puts some limits on how tiny you can make things.
Sometimes I also notice a little circular "notch" at the start of a cut, too. As if the controller had to adjust itself. Not a problem with big stuff, but with the size of holes you're making, it could ruin a project.
Thanks -really appreciate the tips. It won't be until September cuz I'm on vacation now and have to take a business trip to Vietnam after that.
You can have dibs on the proto -it'll arrive August 29th
whooooop!
how much would i owe you, and what material? :dance2:
Material is Shapeways' 3d printed stainless steel
I guess it'll be very close to $20 + $6 in shipping. I can check later. Also, it is under the condition that the proto is not a complete fuck-up ;)
It it is good to go without any modifications, they will be on sale inmediately after (but with a 3 week lead time, and this will be the only one with a card), so you've got 3 weeks of being super-exclusive (I have only ordered one single proto, so I won't have one either).

I don't mind (although he *is* using my photo without asking), but I sure hope people buy that tag from my site instead of in that auction, as I think you can get 2 tags with vials for that price...
