These are awesome! The first one looked almost like it had gitd insists like a tec lantern and not trits, but it was probably my eyes playing tricks. Your faces layered with a few willydigger tiki heads would look awesome.
Thanks again guys. I'm still learning to photograph trits and get the nice trit glow while retaining the details in the product itself.
I'm really looking forward to receiving the next batch of prototypes -got some quite unique items inbound, in 24K gold plated brass :) And there's some other goodness in the pipeline as well -I'm currently working on some multipart products :)
So here's a little prototype of mine: a little bling for captive bits tools. I originally made it to spice up my Atwood Bedbug, but it goes nicely with the Superbug as well

(Sorry about the dark pics)
Man, I don't have any atwoods capable of that, but man, if you put a little "handle" on top, that would be perfect for my keychain!!
(About Q's package) Willydigger:
"Is it mailed? Did you mail it? Where's the tracking? I'm pretty excited. I hope he cries. Think he'll cry? What a bitch."
"Q is an asshole, but he's so dumb I feel like hugging him all the time."
-Willydonker
"I'm waiting for Digiorno to cook. Three meat, stuffed crust. It's not delivery, but no place delivers here. So. "
Kripto-lite did a lantern similar. It was a three window. This looks like a six window. When I asked Kryto about having more windows he said it compromised the strength. He was working with copper/brass.
That said, the design looks pretty sweet. Simple. I dig it.
Do you have the capabilities to machine these or will it be a printed?

Exciting update! We're in the midst of creating your order
Shapeways' order progress tracking system ROCKS. If you log in and check your order you can see what stage each item is in at the time. And I don't think they've ever failed to ship a few days ahead of schedule.

Copper/brass is much softer than the 3d printed steel. I am fairly confident the strength will be more than enough, although I could split each window into two. We'll find out -that's what prototyping is for :)
I don't have any machining capabilities, so it'll be a printed part. I DO however have plans to hook up with a waterjet cutter for another project ;)

The waterjet that I work with cuts a 1/16" kerf. Make sure you ask about this, because it puts some limits on how tiny you can make things.
Sometimes I also notice a little circular "notch" at the start of a cut, too. As if the controller had to adjust itself. Not a problem with big stuff, but with the size of holes you're making, it could ruin a project.
