This is going to be a different kind of post. You've been warned.
I've been with you guys since March of last year (judging by my first photobucket post for edcf) and I really appreciate you all. As soon as I stopped lurking the other place and created an account, I really enjoyed the atmosphere that you guys created over there. It might have been because I noticed my kind of style from you guys (disregarding authority, just doing your own thing) but w/e.
Early in my edc days, I had no idea what I was doing. I was just taking crappy pictures of my crappy stuff and posting them on a crappy forum. I don't think I have told you guys how much I appreciated the advice and friendships you have provided. Seriously. You guys have been my family, people I can talk to when I'm tired of my real life shit. Even though I would usually be a couple hundred dollars behind most of the gear on the picture threads, I would still get positive responses, and that really has made me smile on a couple different occasions.
This new forum has been really fun to be a part of, even though I can't visit as often as I would like. It's like we took all the asshattery (it's a word) that went on over there, and brought it right here. I think that this place is so awesome. Home away from home.
I'm going to make a real effort to spend more of my time here, maybe even post something.
Being included is always something I've struggled with, so it was awesome to be able to start over on a forum where people wouldn't judge you for being different. I can't begin to thank everyone sufficiently for the impact they've made on my life, but I can call out the people that have gone out of their way to send me shit in the mail for very little, or even nothing in return. I will most likely forget someone. Sorry. (I'm not sorry. I'm a little shit)
Corny:
Tt skull
so much of that amazing cornmaille
Skinth Nano
assortment of lanyard accessories
assortment of neat doo-dads
Nano Streamlight
Taught me everything I know
Max:
EDCF Challenge Coin
Spoon dangler
(you sent me more than this, but it's almost 2 in the morning. It'll come to me.)
Quix:
Boker Gnome
Maxpedition pouch
Villian Patch
Assortment of sweet survival shit
Buck (Vantage?)
Leatherman Micra
SAK Waiter
Inchworm and Centipede
SAK (Manager?)
Smith's travel sharpener
Mooshi:
Mooshbot coin
Leather "PETE" bracelet
KAMM:
Purple Endura 4 and Atwood Sporkula (bought in a mystery box, but this was very generous)
I still don't know who sent me the sick black villain..
I also don't know who sent me this tiny yellow duck. Still confused.
Moral of my story: I think of you guys as family, and I appreciate everything that you guys have done for me and with me. I don't think you can know the impact this journey has had on my life. I don't really have any friends IRL, mostly due to history I have with most everyone at my small private school. Thanks for being there for me when everyone else wasn't.
All the best

tl;dr = I finally said thanks for something
