OchsWorx Gyrfalcon 2.0
I am pretty much in awe of the Gyrfalcon. I recently got the chance to pick up this Gyrfalcon 2.0 Eric made for G7. The action is great on it for sure, he has his detents dialed in. I like how it is a good slim and sleek package that really uses up all the space available. The flipper tab being low profile and contoured in the frame makes its really nice and fixes what I hate about a lot of flippers that they are so obtrusive and kinda disruptive to the flow of the knife. The detail of the holes on the frames are great and just the overall design is a winner. The pocket clip hole you can see through shows how much attention he pays to every detail, you can be sure everything will be very well thought out. It's a relatively simple clean design but its understated and bold. The grinds are awesome as always, the sweep on the spine along with the transition from the crowned spine to the flat create a natural place to put your thumb when you choke up. It's a very effective way to make sure you have a little more control over the blade. It's a curvy knife with all the the right moves for sure. I remember really loving the one he had at G6 with the shockwave backspacer I knew I needed one after seeing that. I was also surprised by how balanced the knife is the weight distribution is pretty dead on. I could go on rambling but pictures speak a thousand words and this knife has a lot to say.
