Any worries about droppage/breakage issues? Ceramic tends to be brittle.
you know, that did occur to me, but i haven't heard of it happening, and I've done a decent amount of research on microtech knives
i will likley baby this knife. carry it a lot and use it but not thump on it.
when i hold this knife it honesty feels like a weapon to me more than a tool....not that i have any desire to use it like a weapon.
over all it feels very solid and tight though
The Socom Elites mean business thats for sure, really nice knife just was not up my alley. The knife weighs next to nothing for a huge 4" blade and it was really smooth deploying with a bank vault closing sound on lockup. I am drawn to mircotechs because they look so cool but they can be a hard sell. Gave my uncle my blackout ultratech as a christmass present.
The knife is amazing, I really do love every aspect of it. The fact that he custom fited the pocket clip for me since its not his usual style. He added plenty of custom touches I asked for that really made the knife my own one of a kind knife.
Yeah the only thing I hated about the Southard was the pocket clip and the fact that the tip could jab you if your not careful pulling it out of your pocket. I loved the knife and would have gotten a deep cary pocket clip for it but I got a trade offer I couldn't refuse after he haggled with me for 2 days .
