"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

The removeable pouch is a Skinth M-7 Toolett. It's basically a card wallet with some small gear pouches on the outside. It's one of only 7 in existence with the velcro to attach a patch, for the Multitool.org 7th Anniversary Giveaway.
The clips on the straps on the backside are called WebDominators. You use them to secure loose straps on bags and what not
You can also just put them in a molle loop and use them to hold a camelbak hose or something else small in place.
The purple bug is a Yeerk. Don't worry, he's preserved after starving from lack of Kadrona rays, so it's harmless.
Wow. Only 1 of 7 that's crazy. I'll take extra good care of it then! I love the idea of the WebDominators. I've never heard of them, but by that pic they look super useful.

Had some issues trying to post this though mobile before, but here it is. I got my SS gift from Q a week or two ago but didn't know whether to open it or not since it's not Christmas yet I got everything in a pouch which I intent to turn into a first aid kit or something similar. In it was a removable pouch of sorts, a flashlight, a streamlight, several clips (for lack of a better word), a pocket clip on the flashlight, a brass ruler, a mini screwdriver, a tag with an American flag and a cross on it, several beads, batteries for the streamlight, a spyderco tenacious with anzo handles, and a purple bug (an ammonite?). Thanks Q!
I bought a pocket clip for the spyderco last night so I can start edc'ing it Question: how are the clips on the back of the pouch supposed to be used? Thanks again Q!

Are there booklets you can buy on local laws? Been thinking of edc'ing one whether digital or paper back.

Finally, a work in progress. I am making a 8 spoke wheel i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag379/cadvan14/Mobile%20Uploads/20141019_183023_zpssdcvhhe2.jpg If you look at the spokes you can see the greek letters I X O Y E which is greek for ichthus. They are the first letters for greek words meaning Jesus, Christ, God, Son, Savior. It is an old symbol from when Christians were persecuted and they could use it to recognize each other.

I thread on my Taig using the tailstock with either the drill chuck holding the tap for internal or a die holder attached to the tailstock for external.... manually of course.
So it is possible if I get good at it, good to know. Thanks Chongman

Sherline's are kind of expensive (so are the accessories) for even the basic lathe package. There's a bunch of made in China mini lathes but alot of people have trouble getting spare parts for them. The drive on the China lathes are gears. If you go that route you'd better get a spare set right from the start. Here's why..... if a bit gets hung in a piece of metal or you take to deep of a cut and stall the lather you will bust a gear! The Sherline and the Taig (what I have) you break nothing, the drive belt will slip on the pulley.
The main question I have about it is can it do threading? I saw a post in another forum that said no, but I would like to have the potential to thread, if I ever decide to do a project that needs threading.
