Like i said above, I should get a 12" double cut bastard file tomorrow, i ordered that specifically for the file jig. But I have a 10" bastard file here that is single cut.
However im impatient, so i just spent around 10-15 minutes trying the jig out with the 10" file anyways . I like it a lot so far. The double cut will remove steel quicker, and the extra 2" will make a lot of difference i think, not in the fact it will work quicker because its 2 extra inches, but because im only using the section of the file before the taper starts, so the extra 2" will give me more room on the file itself to use.

Here is something completely unpractical that i wanna make. Its about 1/2" SMALLER than the mini hatchet T.M.Hunt made for me. But its so small its hard to work on

Thats the plan. Ill drill a hole in the bottom and countersink it real nice in efforts to make it attach to keychains.
This design is basically a shrunken down RMJ Berserker, I have always wanted one but just couldnt justify the high price. SO I figured id try to make myself a mini one.
But its small and hard to work on, under 3 and a half inches total. there is no real room to put it in the vise to file, its small so it heats up FAST when the grinder touches it. Its a pain LMAO I could profile out a couple knives in the time it takes just to get the blank done on this. Ill likely round out underneath the head, the little point opposite of the beard would retarded hard to get done. I dont have any needle files either.

I fucking love that jig. I don't care how long it takes, it's awesome!
That axe should be a piece of cake to sharpen.

I fucked that axe up trying to put the bevels on using the 2x42. Belt hit the handle and took a nice bite out, then i tried fixing it... Made it worse.
Ill start another one soon and try and not screw it up.
On to the knife. So i wanted to do a saber grind, but the way the top bevel line curves bothers me quite a bit. And it would probably NOT happen the same way on the other side. So i may just go FFG with it now. What do you guys think?

Thanks Grath!
It is a learning experience thats for sure, and this is the first knife i tried filing bevels on so i guess i shouldnt be too hard on myself... But dammit if that line would of been straight i would of LOVED it
