I only consider counterfeits items that try to pass themselves off as the real thing. An, item that looks like another product but doesn't pretend to be it? Doesn't really bother me.
i wouldn't buy them any more.....I've a little experience with knock offs, and the quality hasn't left me with any desire to buy more.
Also, a big part of what drives my purchases is warranty and ability to service. A knock off of something might be cheap, but if it breaks its done.....and its wasted money.
But, I'm not a clone snob. I don't care if people buy them, even though i don't agree with company's trying to rip people off with fakes.
I also vote with my wallet and the risk is not worth the reward, which in most knockoff cases is very little (to me). I'll handle the genuine article in person if I can or ensure I trade into it so if it isn't for me, then I'll get the equivalent funds back out of the deal. I'm not big on the maker's economics, I just don't like the underhanded way most present a stolen design as their own nor the "as-is" purchase terms.
