This is a work in progress, since companies are always updating, changing, and re-arranging the steels in their lineups.
This post is going to be a list of blade steels, by manufacturer first, then knife name. If a knife has been made of more than one steel, I will try to list them from newest to oldest, so that the information reflects what you see in the community.
I want to be informative, without filling fifty pages. So, there will be some things I can't do.
I will not be listing custom knives. Sorry.
I will not attempt to list every knife by every knife company, because that would take me over the fifty page limit that I randomly chose for myself. The ones I see being discussed most often are the ones that will get listed.
If you want to help improve this list, or see something I missed, post up! Right now, it's very rough, but I'll keep working on it as time and my ADD permits.
Try to include a link to your source, mostly because I like pictures.

I have edited out the Rockwell hardness numbers, in part because I doubt that it is important information for the majority of the knife-using public. Typical knife blade hardness is between 55 and 62 Rockwell.
Thanks for looking!
