Hippo on a cool rock i found in the woods. Looks like there's some kind of crystal in there, so I took it home with me!
What do you think- should I smash it with a hammer to see what's inside or leave it as it is??
It's probably just quartz and will just look spiderwebbed through it like it does on the outside, but fuck it. Smash it. It's a cool rock. Worst case scenario is you end up with two cool rocks.

The Seiko 5 is slightly nicer quality than the Timex Weekender with similar styling, adds a day of the week/day of the month window, and it's an automatic watch so you don't have to worry about batteries. Not too much more expensive
Nothing wrong with Timex, though. I've been wearing the same timex watch for the last 3 or 4 years

I dont want it, but was curious if this would be accurate dating for the knife
I can't find the exact date on when the Spartan started being produced, but the oldest that particular knife can be is from 1985 because that's the year they added the sewing eye onto the awls. And the wiki refers to a 1985 "early model" of the Spartan not having tweezers or toothpick. Either way, definitely not from the 50's or collectible in any noticeable way.
