Lume fades with time... It's pretty noticeable on my Monster. I could work out a trade with a friend from my town for this Citizen, but as I said, my main grip is the dumb rubber strap, it makes any watch look childish in my opinion. I realize it's great for diving and all but I can barely even swim normally so...

I'm considering the Timex for the low price point and classic styling. I have several Citizen watches that my father has gifted to me. Nice watches, but I rarely wear watches. But I really need to have a watch for class, something so Im not always turning around checking the clock, but instead a quick glance at my wrist and keep things moving.
That said, if you know of another option from a different company that is similar to the Weekender then I am interested
The Seiko 5 is slightly nicer quality than the Timex Weekender with similar styling, adds a day of the week/day of the month window, and it's an automatic watch so you don't have to worry about batteries. Not too much more expensive
Nothing wrong with Timex, though. I've been wearing the same timex watch for the last 3 or 4 years

Looking more at the Seiko 5 SNK line, I dont like how the band, from the factory, is the same color as the face of the watch. I'd love to get an olive green band, but want a white face.
