I cracked the scale on my climber so I decided to see how it would look in aluminum. I have a ways to go in getting it to what I want, but as a rough idea it's not bad. I know I'm not the first to do this and yes, I'm using hardware store flat stock so I's not very robust. I need to sand the edges more to match everything up, but this it where I'm at.
Square cute from a block of copper and then some "flutes" cute into the sides. Not sure what direction I want to go in but it kinda looks like a bead so I put it on paracord.

I took the advice on the second one. I cut it from the block and then threw it into the rock tumbler for two hours. That softened the edges. Then I cut the flutes and drilled the hole. I need to hog out the hole more still. Thoughts?
