I had a guy ask me to do a forced patina on a copper piece. Here are some pics. of the process. The recipe was 1TBS of white vinegar and 1 tsp of salt. For bigger stuff use the same ratio. 2:2, 3:3 whatever.
I used some foil to hold the bead where I wanted it.
The goal was to dab the solution around the visor area. Here it is after maybe an hour. You can see a little growing in the air hose.
Here it is the morning after. Let it sit over night.
It's pretty cool shit.

It's hard. You could scrap it off with a knife I guess, but you can't wipe it off.
