I'm not sure if it's a smart idea to make it an international pass-around, even though I'd love to be in this. It would probably mean numerous delays at every customs-office it passes though, & on top of that some items may get taken by customs with all the different (knife/weapon) laws in different parts of the world.
But if you guys are wiling to risk that then count me in as well! (I'm in Netherlands)
I think I'll leave it as a international pass around. The thing is this box may have knives or other bladed tools. IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW YOUR AREA AND COUNTRY LAWS ON THESE ITEMS, DON'T RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE. (Pm me if you need a summary of what is currently in there)

I'm pretty sure passage is relatively quick and painless within EU borders, so there would be one check into the first country and a cursory glance until it leaves the EU.
At at least I think so, if it comes near the UK I'll be in.
True, but packages entering my country (for example) from outside the EU get delayed 2 to 3 weeks usually, just something to take in consideration.
And you guys can't even have locking knives in the UK, right? This would worry me a bit..

I'm not sure how knowing our country's laws can effect what ever the custom officer that happens to inspect the package decides to do. Is it an idea perhaps to exclude items that are prohibited in many countries (like double bladed knives & balisongs for instance) from the box?
Or perhaps we should list the items we can and can not have in our country in the post where we're saying "I'm in" so that the person who overviews this pass-around can determine if the entrance of that person can be accepted or not?
Not trying to be a downer here or anything, but it would be such ashame if the box gets confiscated somewhere along the line.
Without getting bogged down with law speak, we can have locking knives, and many others, (very few knife types are subject to a blanket ban) but yes, personally importing them can be a little hit and miss.
If the box goes international then awareness of where its going would be a must (prior contact to the first person in the new country to check laws?).
"I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took a pie to the belly"

Yeh that would seriously suck. I think you have the right idea. Editing that in. Thank you everyone for the help.
Sorry guys, but I'm gonna have to pull out of this one.
I had two more shitty encounters with our customs this week & I don't want to risk them to get their filthy paws on your stuff or my money, so it's probably best if I don't participate.
