I like it but i wish i would have sprung extra for a galaxy s3 at the time. I'm big into rooting and custom roms/customizing my devices and the rooting process for this phone is on the difficult side, enough so that i haven't wanted to do it. The samsung phones currently have a SHIT TON more support on XDAfroums than this phone does.
Nevertheless, its an attractive phone with a nice screen and adequate features.......especially for the 29 bucks i paid for it

Sweet. Yea all my HTC phones always had a hard time rooting. It sucked.

this is only the second HTC ive had.....last was an inspire and taht was WAAAAAY easier to root than this one
well to be honest, i screwed my self by accepting the OTA update. If i would have just stayed with original software it came with it would have been a little easier. The method for rooting my phone after the OTA is all ADB command line crap which i have no experience with. the inspire had a nice tidy piece of software that handed the rooting process for me

Samsung Galaxy S2. Love - hate relationship. Love the 'droid platform, love the hardware, love the $49 price, but HATE that the first time the phone goes into "sleep" mode after using the camera, the phone is OFF. I mean off to the point where I have to hold the power-on button for about 15 seconds until the little blue light blinks, then release it, then hold it again on a normal power-up. So, now I simply preemptively RESTART the phone after I use the camera. How messed up is that?

Huh?
I have a Samsung S2 as well and never experienced such an odd behavior - have you tried a software/android update? I hate those updates and will most likely never do one again as it took me an eternity to get everything customized again after the last one - but if I'd have issues, I would try it

Def try a software update but I think you can go to the carrier and they can probably get you a replacement phone.
Still rocking my So. Sweet phone. I haven't rooted it yet which is unusual for me. I just havent felt the need too. Maybe if I really get bored I will do it. :)
Samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g touch with trident kraken case. Older tech but, it works. Now if Sprint would just upgrade their frakking network so I could use the 4g network I pay extra for each month!
