I'll have some Purpleheart (curly, nicely figured) in a few days.
I hope it's not asking to much but I was thinking 15 bucks, shipped (outside the USA add 2 bucks). You can have stainless, copper, or brass ends. Grooved or plain.
All of the ones shown are in raw wood, no finish applied yet. I have some tung oil (danish oil) but will pick up some boiled linseed oil as soon as I can.

That's a super price dude. Don't undervalue yourself. You're doing a lot of work turning and assembling these beads. If you keep that price, I'd make it an EDCS member exclusive.

Chongman, maybe we could go into collaboration on a bead or two. You do the metal, I do the wood. Put a 1/4" hole in the bead for my mandrel. Set a designated diameter for the piece that goes into the wood, say 5/16", and a max outside diameter of maybe 1/2" then I can mount the wood between the pieces and turn it down to the diameter. Then sand and finish accordingly. I have some scraps of ebony, cocobolo, and a few others.
Would be an interesting SS gift for someone. Brass and cocobolo might be sexy. I know chrome and ebony is. Copper and cocobolo would be, too.
Hey revs, I'd be interested in joining forces with you on a bead or few.
I stick with 3/8" outside diameter rod because that's the largest collet I have. It's much easier (and safer) to work with collets vice a 3-jaw chuck to turn smaller dia. stock. I can turn 3/8" down to whatever you like.
So if I get this you would like the bead ends (metal) to have a 1/4" dia. hole instead of 3/16"?
