Dammit. Know I want a Spydie like that one. Native?
The one with foliage green scales (weird ass way to call a gray color) is a Dragonfly with G10 scales. Excellent knife. The full liners and stainless backspacer make it heavier than the FRN one but boy oh boy does the weight feel good. Makes it a really solid, quality knife. Not entirely sure if it's worth the 80$ it goes for new, but it's an excellent little blade.
Been having a not-so lazy Sunday, finishing up some SAK scales, roasting chestnuts on open fire while drinking some coffee. No EDC pics though, so forgive me for that :)
Lessons on Serbian culture, part I: Serbs are mainly Orthodox Christians and Christmas in Serbia is celebrated on the 7th of January, following the Julian calendar, while the remainder of Christians follow the Gregorian one. Chestnuts grow around these parts from autumn and then on, and while we do have a ton of customs related to Christmas, roasting chestnuts is not one of them. Which is kinda sad, I love them and wish we could do this all year long...

I hate Foliage Green. I actually bought and sold the DF2 twice. Thinking about getting it again. I must be insane.

I craved for that knife for so long just to be completely disappointed upon receiving it. It's just so small that I never used it when I carried it, especially since I always have a Cadet on me. The price tag is silly though... I was lucky enough to get mine as a gift from one of the few really great guys at EDCF, jacobwilson99, who doesn't visit or post there at all any more for some odd reason... Maybe it's the same reason we're here as well.
Being unemployed for the past few months, I spend a lot of time online and browse the classifieds on the local Serbian websites. Two days ago I was lucky enough to run into an ad for a bundle of SAKs, and I noticed one that immediately caught my eye. This is a 93mm Victorinox Pruner, yellow alox with the old cross. It is at least 30 years old, and it is a special run only produced for a Swiss company called Bugnard. There are two blades, the large standard one as seen on all 93mm models, and a small pruning blade. It only has minor signs of wear, and the blades were painfully dull. I set aside half an hour to clean it, oil the springs and sharpen up both of the blades, and it's like new now. Best part is, the seller had no idea what he's got, so I got this for a veeery good price :)
Saturday mail calls are the best. Unfortunately, regular post does not deliver on Saturdays, only couriers, but what I got is awesome anyways :) The same guy I bought the Pruner from has a stash of SAKs, apparently his father sends a batch from Switzerland every few months, so I bought another one. This is a Victorinox Popular (weird model name, considering it wasn't so popular), and it's a two-bladed 84mm model with the old cross. Funny thing is, the only difference between this model and the Excelsior is that this one also has a keyring. The price was excellent and I couldn't pass. Not entirely sure if I'll end up keeping it, but I knew I had to snatch it before anyone else did.
