Been a bit, but the second hawk needed a new cover and I wanted it to be Tek lok compatible.
Still finishing it up. Took a break to watch some Netflix.
It fits a large Tek lok which is perfect for the size of hawk. Needs a little fine tuning but I need a new heat gun for that. Thinking of a couple molle loks for attaching to my bag. Or my LBV I want for next spring and summer fire training. Hawk, hydration and FAK all on a vest would be great for hiking my crew.
KaBar Piggyback that I think needs a handle. Didn't want pins or tubes showing. So, being a skeleton handle, I cast the handle on. When it has another twelve hours to cure, I'll shape it and finish it Was previously wrapped in Type 1 accessory cord.
More shaping is done. Need to find my mini sanding sponge to make this easier. I am liking the fit in my hand with the fatter scale. Is it a scale if I cast it on?
Got it all shapes and sanded. Missed one small spot on the pommel end of the handle, but, since it's not going anywhere that I know of, I'll work on that later.
So far, love the glow. Green mixed with a touch of blue looks pretty good. Maybe a 3:1 ratio.
Quick and dirty multi tool and flashlight kydex case. Put some Molle Loks on it and attach it to my bag. Leatherman Kick and Streamlight Microstream are the gear in it. I still need to smooth some of the edges and soften up the top where the gear slides in. But, I think it turned out great.
