haha I don't think anybody here is gonna go ape shit over clones. :) Have at it!
I personally don't mind "homages," but it sucks when those manufacturing the clones uses the real maker's marks and everything - and then sells it at table price. O_O (For lack of a better phrase, sells the clone as the real deal.)
True dat. If it sucks, the buyer loses out. But if they really counterfeit it, that's total bs and they can go die.

If I didn't get the SRM 710, I'm pretty sure I would have kept saving for the Sebbie and end up a little disappointed. True, I'd always liked the Sebbie since I first saw one, but after handling it, I've found that I liked the size, but different ergos, hence dropping the Sebbie completely and going for the custom.
I like the budget knives out there simply because I can try out different blade shapes and materials without dropping so much cash. This is why I love collaboration knives. Can't afford a Rexford ($5k)? They're gonna do a collab with Kershaw for the Injection for like $40. How about the $400 Burger? There's the collaboration Boker for the Exskelibur at $50. :) Collabs are fun! Same goes for the Hinderers and the Cryo collab with Kershaw.
Well, it was really a copy, but they did something wrong and at one point the coating already got loose, then I decided not to get it. Otherwise I'd be fine with it.

True dat! I do love copies and clones...I just never know what I really want as far as knives. Too many on the list all the time.
Liking my Spydies. Can't afford all those fancy ones. More like can't convince myself to actually say, "Yeah, paid more for that knife than my first car." :-)

The Paramilitary 2 is still one of my favorites. Even with a Striders and a Sebbie in my little collection.

I love all my knives... I had a Sebbie and SNG (you are all bored of this story by now) but sold them to commit to Spyderco Ti-Framelocks (and of course a PM2).
