Somebody asked what I carried at MEPS past security into medical.
My hat was with me 70% of the time. They don't really want you to keep it on anyways. I had my key on my necklace. I picked up a mil Bible even though I'm not very religious it was a good read. The jerky gave me some extra to do after a lot of things. I had to take all metal off during the security check, people forget to put it back on. I was the only one who knew what time it was . The pink and yellow cards hold my ID and SSN plus my recruiters card. No cellphone use is allowed, so my recruiters number is important if I need to call someone. Cards bright enough to see if dropped, small enough not to get in the way.

Shot an email to wicked and they are willing to see my idea. So my new rough draft: I think I'll stick with brass so the lettering looks better. Maybe I'll Dink around with my own copper lighter. Left face Head: 7.62x39 head from my first set. Body: Though I walk in the shadow of the valley of death, I fear no evil. For I am the baddest mother fucker in the valley. (Classic Zippo for sure)
Right face Head: cursive Stay Classy Body: Wolfs head.
mhmm good point about the almost out of pocket... I was planning on soldering a plate with a hinge on it, then screwing the clip to that. But riding high wouldn't be THAT big of an issue to me. Plus if that doesn't work I could just fashion a dangle to the same plate.
Or you could eliminate the plate and i could install a ring into the hinge. Instead of the regular straight hinge pin. Like roys lighter.
What would that do? edit, nvm. I think we're thnkingi of two different things but I get what you're saying edit 2: I wanna do this myself, but I have no idea how to solder, and make small jewelry ...not expecting it to be easy.. orrr I could send it to wicked and some other places to do it for me

A dangler would attach to a loop on the zippo and the clip would just be like one of gambles danglers. Where as a pocket clip would screw into the zippo and it would ride very high, like almost out of your pocket. Maybe it's just me

Using this post to save my ideas for my new lighter. You're gonna read through this and be like what the fuck, but you bet your ass this would be a sick lighter. Brass or Copper, most likely copper to keep my theme. Gonna have to throw in that butane insert cause I don't smoke... unless I'm drunk as shit. (Might as well be honest.) Gonna get the cap from a 7.62 somewhere on it for sure. I just looked at my hat, Stay Classy will definitely be on one side. Thinking about a wolf on the other side...mhmm....deal with it. I also was considering a pocketclip. Cause that'd be boss. Edit: could machine it so I could use the steel flame clips. cause that'd also be kind of a cool way to make shit more expensive. Or get a custom clip, was thinking because it's so heavy could get like a two stage pocket clip, my brother had something like this on his phone. It clips to your pocket, but you can pull it back to lock into a second place and make it like a tail stand. Why? Cause I can. Also it'd be kind of cool to get some tritium slots put in somewhere.

One thing I would say about Thunderbird inserts, check the hinge pins periodically. One of mine came apart. Sent it in to be fixed and it came apart again. The other insert hasn't given me any problems.
