People worry about that shit too much... nothing wrong with reading & gathering information. These books are all sold legaly in certain bookstores and army surplus stores. Available to purchase online as well.
Guess it all depends on the person and his intended use of said material.
Very interesting reads none the less. And that's obly a fraction Of my EDC books contained in my phone, i pads and computer.
So I take it most people around here don't edc any kind of books in electronic format?
some nice kits on here, i'll get some pics later i have a small kit in my car-bag/ghb, a few things in my bookbag for school, and then a more complex/full kit in the car. So, for example, today I had a total of 3 kits should something come up. Mostly basic things like bandaids and ointments, but some other things like suture kits (yeah, i'll never use that, i hate needles) etc
I too carry a suture kit & also skin glue which I find works Better for the untrained 1st aidier... then one can seek proper medical attention once back ar proper facilities.
I actually live In Alberta. Not too close to Ottawa.
And have been Involved in S&R but havent been active in the last year and a half, as we are dealing with the fall out of my partners ex and the abuse he caused my step son her son. So we have been pretty busy dealing with courts and working to have him come live with us. Currently he resides in a trestment program for pre adolescent teens that have suffered bad abuse. Once life is back to normal ill be volunteering again
How come you ask?
Crap. I live in a town about 60 mins south of Ottawa, and am always looking for anybody near me. Im interested in being involved in SAR in the future, and thought your gear looked like someone who went looking for people. I hope justice is met and you and your family can move on from the trauma you guys have experienced! All the best man!
Definitly look into S&R groups they are willing to train people. And the skills one learns are priceless. Its lots of fun too. They have training sessions where one gets opportunities to gain valuable skills.
