I don't see many makers making jigged patterns on anything but bone.
Think about getting a yard of duct tape and wrapping it so it is flat. A charging cord for the phone and maybe a backup power pack would be good. I like the style PS, I couldn't bring it into the federal building in Philly though as they don't allow any scissors.
I like the space pen for what it is. The lack of a clip makes it awkward to carry as it slides around in my pocket. For awhile I was using a rubber band and securing it to my wallet (they are the same length).
