After an hour with one I decided the carry was so uncomfortable (the shark-fin keychain "loop") that it wasn't worth over-coming the obstacles of the detent. Sold it immediately.
I own one in tan. Fantastic light. Three well spaced modes with well hidden, but still accessible, blinky modes. Very well built light worthy of convincing people that SWM is a premium flashlight brand. It's not the most compact single cr123a light out there, and perhaps not the best value- I tend to think my Olight i1 EOSs are better in that regard.
As for my friend WillyD's detent problem, mine is on the lighter side too, but not to the extent it would be an issue for me. I certainly wouldn't bother taking mine apart. Nor do consider it a design flaw or anything. Speaking of DFs, the two allen bolts that attach the pocket clip protrude past the plain of the tail cap, thus making for a slightly wobbly tail stand. Frankly, on a light this expensive, is a small disappointment. I still love the light, but you have to shake your head and wonder, "Why?"
And that, my fellow EDCSers, is a real nit pick.

^ I noticed the screws too. I never tail stand, but I can appreciate the nit pick. Pretty stupid to not have it sit flush.
The detents weren't bad, I just wanted it better.
If I could build a perfect light, the detents would engage with a solid "snap" and it would have a tail clicky. SWM remind me of Spyderco in that they have the technology and have the style, but they insist on putting it into different lights instead of building the "just right" light. :MAAH:

Yes, it is a little bigger than the *doodoolicker* flavor of the month.

Got the M11R Dream the other day. Ti trit version. A going away gift from Work. Some mod pics. Separating the head to access the adjuster bezel was much more difficult than the AL version.
Ended up over stretching the spring. The fix for that was to compress it with my Skeletool and heat it with my Zippo butane.
EW. Finger looks dirty.
