OK, I know we've all got our likes, and guilty pleasures. But there are some knives out there only the designer could love. Came across this photo on BF, and I knew right then that for me, this is the singularly ugliest knife I have ever seen. I could get my four year old to try to make a knife out of paper and her favorite glue stick, and it would look better.
So, that's a start. Post pics of the ugliest, red-headed-stepchild, vomit-inducing knives you've ever seen.

I dig the Techno. It isn't ugly it's dressed up utility.
Ugly, I'd have to go with Sebenza. Not the Mnandi, those are sweet. The other ones though, pretty homely.
Also not a big fan of the PM2 thunder handle. Seriously Spyderco, not everyone wears gloves when using a knife.
Damn Max you're right, I'm hard on knives too.

I came across some customs on USN with this Timascus Handles. Looked like someone on drugs made a impression of his trip and put it into metal... Def. not my type...
A couple more. Gotta think there is some actual functional purpose for these designs, otherwise why would Spyderco sink the money to manufacture them, but damn these are just disgusting.

Yeah, I did hear about a purpose.
Supposedly, this blade shape started out on the Civilian. The idea is that it can be wielded by someone without training, and still offer a deterrent against the unwanted actions of others.
I think the Pohl Force knives are ugly. I know some people love them, but there are just too many bumps for me.
Most of the twenty dollar tacticool knives don't appeal to me anymore. Some are downright ugly, some are ugly because of the fit and finish, or lack thereof, on them.
Greg Lightfoot's knives are hit and miss: when he sticks to the high speed, low drag stuff that he's good at, I think he ends up with a masterpiece. When he tries to dress them up by using natural materials, the contrast between the slabs and his sub-sonic tip makes an unattractive knife.
Allen Elishewitz has a similar effect on me, but it is because he tries so many different things. I have seen some truly beautiful knives by Mr. Elishewitz, and some that are just garish.
Speaking more generally, I think that knives get ugly when people try to do too much to them. A blade and a bottle opener is about as fancy as I think you should get. But some people insist on putting on multiple bevel geometries, serrations, sawteeth...
At some point, the "survival knife" mentality breaks down, and you end up using it as a hammer to chip out a piece of sharp flint, because that works better.
