So I made a thread on here a few weeks ago about my E05 not working, and then I updated a few days ago how the aluminum foil trick worked. Well between the two I had contacted Fenix about this, and they told me to contact the retailer I purchased it from to get a new spring for it -that they wanted me to swap the spring out first and then if that didnt work they'd look at other options. I contacted John about this and expected to see a spring arrive shortly
Today I got a package from JSB in the mail long story short - I had a brand new, though blue, E05 in the box. Still in the Fenix packaging etc
Dont know if Fenix shipped him one and then he forwarded or what, but either way I am impressed by JSB/Fenix

Yes, I have been meaning to post in the 'get' thread, its just escaped me I play hockey with two Remington employees and a few other gun nuts (including myself) and we LOVE the bottle openers for the beers and root beers after the games!
I dont think John runs a good business (dude is ALWAYS having some issues), but yes, this customer service blew me away! I think that he is a genuinely nice guy and I will/would do business with him again, just hope he gets his mess together on keeping things stocked so he can stay afloat.
this was a year or two ago but I had made a order there and never thought about it until it wasn't shipped a month latter. I emailed jon and he refunded me my money but sent the package anyways minus like one thing that he didn't have in stock anymore. So yeah his customer service is pretty good in my books.

The funny part is I agree mostly. I just don't necessarily get along with a few of the mods at his forum

"Is it mailed? Did you mail it? Where's the tracking? I'm pretty excited. I hope he cries. Think he'll cry? What a bitch."
"Q is an asshole, but he's so dumb I feel like hugging him all the time."

The only problem with Jon is his customer service is too good. Can you name any other vendor that would refund charges and send you the goods anyways? That's excellent customer service but very bad for a business' bottom line.

Yeah it was lots of smaller random stuff but it was still around $100 worth of stuff he gave me. Another guy that would fall on his sword for his customer is Dave Curtiss, I won't go into details but did a very big solid for me also, his went way above what jon did for me .
Another guy that would fall on his sword for his customer is Dave Curtiss,
Saw a Curtiss F3 compact I was really thinking about picking up. But even though the price was nice, the knife wasn't centered. The grind was asymmetrical? And I couldn't help but think; I'm not paying that much for a knife that isn't damn near perfect.
Still like the design. Just a nitpick.
Of course, I don't know if the buyer attempted to contact him. So it's not a reflection of customer service issues. Mostly just rambling.

You mean that time you got two F3s?
