I always thought it was funny that you can drive at 16 in Americaland but have to be 21 before you can have a drink legally. Over here you have to be 18 before you can drive but until the laws changed on January 1st of this year you could buy a beer everywhere as long as you're 16 (they changed it to 18 now).
I think 21 for a pistol and 18 for a rifle, but, I have owned a rifle and shotgun since I was 12. Own 3 shotguns, 2 rifles and a pistol know. Sister borrowed a shotgun and the pistol, though.
Cool. firearms permits are very difficult to get here, & you have to jump through all sorts of hoops if you want to keep a gun at your home on top of that (many shooters leave theirs at shooting-ranges here so they don't have to deal with all that crap).
I believe you have to be 16 or 18 to buy an air gun or riffle, but I've been shooting those since I was 7 or so (supervised by parents or uncles for the first few years).

How can you not know about Amstel??? It's one of my favorites next to Stella. I've been to Amsterdam last year in March, had a good time but it was freezing cold... I would have gone again this year but I have Canada on my schedule. Last Sunday they had return tickets Belgrade-Amsterdam-Belgrade for 110EUR which is amazing but I'm saving every penny for Canada now.
If everything goes right I should visit Netherlands again in August, hopefully...
