Years ago while playing D&D, we stumbled on Planescape which was a setting that linked all the planes into a hub called Sigil. That doesn't matter. In sigil there were factions that had certain beliefs that unified them and separated them from other factions.
The one I was drawn to was called the Doomguard. From Wiki: "Ultimately, the beliefs of the Doomguard come down to one fact: everything ends. No matter how great a creation you can construct, it's sure not to last eternally...It cannot be stopped, only delayed, and there's no arguing with that fact. So why argue with it; instead, one should embrace it, and acknowledge that all things are passing."
Years later I began carving beads and distanced myself from casting and instead decided to carve each one individually. Give it soul, purpose, and each would have some distinct imperfection or character that would make it original. The thought was labeled Wabi-Sabi, which as you know is a Japanese aesthetic centered on the belief of beauty in imperfection.
I say all that to show you a pic defining both the beauty of imperfection that is Wabi-Sabi and the embrace that all things decay and in decay it shouldn't be revolting, but attractive.
TLDR EAD!
