I've narrowed my shopping choices to KK and usaknifemaker. The G-10 and spacer material I have inbound is from Jantz (slow to process and ship but good prices).
I'll probably have to get some drill bits to do the countersinking properly.
The wait for my Svord Mini Peasant and scale material is killing me! It looks (tracking info) like Friday/Saturday this week for the basics to arrive.
iggydude- The construction looks fairly simple from this picture (stolen from google). I've not figured out the sizes on the hardware yet but should be able to get the stuff from any decent knife supply internet shop. The stop pin is easy, just a piece of rod in the right diameter.
Looks real simple. Lets see what we can do it. I might go with chain ring bolts also like someone posted. Maybe some kind of liner or layers before handle material. Possibly some thin copper or brass sheet.
I have some .032" thick copper sheet (found at Lowe's in the big bolt drawers under hobby stuff). I have some .032" stainless sheet and .030" thick black spacer material inbound. I wish I'd ordered some red too.

Thanks for the info. I have no big hardware stores in this small town but I have an idea of what to get, we used sheets of copper and brass for engraving name plates on all the awards.

Dunno Chongman - I'd have to measure.
I ordered CF and red G10 in 0.03" for liners and I was thinking of doing the chainring bolts. The big challenge is trying to find them in the right width - I guess it would have to be 1/2" (I got 1/4" CF slabs).
I think I will be keeping the shape pretty much stock (I suppose a bit larger to accommodate the larger chain ring bolts).
Instead of the link i posted before i had to look up the closed length of the svord i ordered and it showed 5 1/2" so i ordered this for liner. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=231008809534&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:3160 chain ring bolts i will order from knife kits when i put together a list that i need for my other knife supplies.

I expect mine to take at least 2 months. I have no life outside of work. I'm working on a higonokami I started a month ago, and I have just managed to finish cutting out the blade shape.
