The phrase "multitool" is a tool that has multiple functions. IE. pliers, blade, screwdrivers, ETC. This leads to a plethora of choices that one can choose when deciding what they want to carry. ive been religiously carrying MT's for about three years and still have not decided which size is perfcert for my self. The question being is what multitool do YOU believe has the best tool set for yourself. here is a smattering of different "multi tools for size and tool comparison.
So say what is enough multitool for you. and defend why!

Ill start. I prefer to carry a large MT like the ST300 because of the added tool sets. i carry it in a belt sheath so the weight never really bothers me. however lately ive been carrying my Super tinker. because i find it carries most of my MT needs as a student and can be carried in a pocket so it raises less attention.

I'll chime in. I carried an original Leatherman PST for almost 20 years. Then I decided to retire it and carried a Kick. Then an original Wave. Have a Blast in the closet, also. But, my day to day currently is a Swisstool Spirit X. So much more refined and smooth operation. Plus, love the scissors and file on it. And, the polished stainless exterior is just sexy.
Have various keychain tools, also. Pickpocket, TT Pocket Tools, even a 'Biner by SomeDude that has the best bottle opener I have used in a long time.

My main multitool is the Skeletool CX. It is the nicest compromise for me. I also carry a Syph custom SAK. Between the two I have what I need. I don't even carry a larger one in my bag. Maybe I should*.
From Top: Charge TTi (crazy heavy), Orange Skeletool (junk), Skeletool CX, Syph Custom, Dollar Store Special (gift from the girl, more a moral thing, but you never know when you'll need a hammer).
* Added my Charge TTi to my EDC bag.

so many good options out there.... i like the wave for its OHO blades and relatively small size (compared to surge etc) i belt carry i also love the ps4 for when i cant do the Wave
I dont carry one on me much they are in my litespeed. I have my SwissTool Spirt S and my benchmade tool in there in case I need them. My keys have a pickpocket and a shard on them. I had a artifact on there for a little bit but the little blade opened up in my pocket a couple of times and cut me.
I had a Skeletool CX for awhile. Then last Christmas I received a Vic Spirit. Never looked back. The Vic has won my loyalty for life. I only wish it had a pocket clip.
Swiss Spirit is the only MT I'd ever want. I've had some Gerbers and Leathermans (Leathermen?) pass through my hands and while they were okay, none of them look as nice and functional as the Spirit. I never bought one because I don't need one, I'd only use the pliers really. And I need the pliers maybe five times a year, so I decided to save myself from one useless spending
