This is the Becker Knife & Tool BK13 Remora neck knife. At the low price of 20-25 dollars I thought it would be a good one to develop some skills with. It comes with a hard plastic sheath (junk, show you later).
I decided to try my hand at "jimping" (create notches along the spine) after doing some reading on a knife forum. Armed with a Dremel tool, diamond coated cut-off wheel, and diamond coated files I went at it after marking some guide lines with a Sharpie pen.
You never develop skills unless you give it a try!
The camera sees things better than I do so as you see, I have to go back and touch up a few places.
I'll be doing some more mods and then try my hand at a paracord wrap on the handle.

Nice work. You must have a steady fucking hand dude.
I've seen people stack cut-off disks with small washers in between to get the spacing right. There is also a specialize file called a checkering file that will come in different spacing.
