Figure I should have a gear thread here My stuff doesnt change much cause Im broke, so dont expect a lot here unless its just cross-referencing other stuff that I buy (gun shows etc)
my keychain its basic
Nissan Pathfinder key and fob Fenix E05 Leatherman Brewzer on a cheap ($1) carabiner from Home Depot
my hip carry
I've since bought a leather sheath from leatherman for a Charge and am using that But Leatherman Wave and keep a tube of chapstick in the side pocket
I keep this little guy in whatever bag I carry for the day. Comes in handy! The CRKT Eat-N-Tool for rice a roni!
for dunkin donut doughnut holes!
for some homemade cobbler from a coworker!
Bag varies, for most school days its my Camelbak Urban Assault XL but recently picked up the TimBuk2 Classic Messenger bag for my internship and more casual carrying, such as going to the bookstore to study etc

updated everyday carry still rocking the Wave hard, and today is a work day, so the cheap casio watch is worn but since my wreck I have been carrying one of my swisscards by victorinox. Keep toothpicks in my truck (as well as the card), so not having the truck means no easy access to the toothpick. really I just carry it for the toothpick - man when you need one and dont have one...that sucks.
been pretty broke, so no need for a wallet, just some cash, my ID, swisscard, and work schedule folded around it all with a rubberband keeping it together wallet stays in my TimBuk2 bag in the car

New bag added to the collection, will likely have this one in the car as a "get home bag" once I start kitting it out a bit
MOJO Medical Assault pack from London Bridge Trading Made in America and under the Berry Standards - so all material and labor/manufacturing has to be 100% US sourced. Pretty neat. I feel quite a steal at $80

Friend gave me this knife with my Christmas gifts a year or two ago. Said it was just a cheap knife from Amazon to add in with the other things he got me, I was cool with it. Well, its sat in a box since then. tonight, while looking for some things, I came across it
and the flint has a whistle on it
get some stuff out, try my hand at this....
Now, I've never done anything fancy with 550, really just use it to tie stuff up etc
strip the cheap cord off of it reveals this. They had about 6' of cord on it.
I didnt feel like wasting six feet of cord, even though it is cheap (7-8c a foot), so I cut off about three feet worth and just thought I would try something out.
this is what I came up with on my first try. It aint great, but until I research how to do it legit then it'll do
and all put back together. I'll change things up later, just wanted to toy around for right now.
I know that it doesnt match, but I plan to make a Kydex sheath for it later so whatever, suck it.

its really not the blade needs a really good sharpening too, its quite dull tomorrow Im going to a gun show (there will be an update in gun show thread), and there is usually a vendor that is trying to sell a sharpener that will sharpen your knife for free (the unit costs, but he demonstrates it by sharpening yours for free), so I plan to take it with me so I can get a decent edge put on it...hopefully.
Like i said, I've never done this before, I'll research it and find out how to legit wrap it soon

bro bro bro...this vendor uses the little v shape charpener right? DONT DO IT. It will roll the edge of your knife badly!!!!!
So when you use those little V shaped sharpeners it causes one edge to roll. It does this because the 2 rods are generally are not horizontal and are stacked on each other. This causes one side of the edge to become overly sharpened therefore grind the edge so that it rolls over the lesser sharpened one. It appears good when they do the paper cut test because they are cutting the direction in which it is rolled. Thats the gimmic. The real answer to getting a good sharp knife is sitting down with a good whetstone! ;)

in the past two months I've bought a bunch of records (12 in the past thirty days, both LPs and 7"), and am getting a skeletool CX on Thursday I believe
