That is not the pond. That is a puddle and the engine was off. Stalled.
The pond has no pics because I shit myself thinking I ruined the Jeep and had to tell the wife! It was at Rausch Creek and was around 10 times the size. I tried to drive through it which burned up the fan clutch and the thin water got into the clutch and saturated it. It took a couple hours to dry out and I was able to drive home. Still have the same clutch several years later.
The axle leak is clearly from the axle. The rear drum is well lubed, but there is not real issue. It looks worse than it is. I'm over it. I used to care, now I don't. If I worried about every leak, I'd never drive it anywhere.

Drrr, yeah. I changed that whole side. Axle shaft, seal bearings. It came back. Fuck it.
*whew!* i was gonna say.....i read that wrong then, i thought you meant you just left it how stupid of me to question the all mighty Mr.D.....sowwy
D44 axle seals are known to have issues. My D35 was flawless, but much weaker. Especially with a locker. Sometimes it will fix, some times it won't, but to change it you have to press on bearings and retainers and it isn't worth the hassle.

I don't know PA very well. All I know is if you get a speeding ticket, just pay it. And Keep your doors on. And God forbid you have tires past the flares.
Rausch is a really cool place. It's a little pricey and the trip eats a lot of gas for me, but the trails are good. Different levels for different builds. There are some really scary hills and more rock than mud. If you get a Jeep I will definitely meet you there for an excursion. I haven't been in a couple years and I'm sure to get death wobble, but my Jeeps old enough to not give a shit. I'd recommend at minimum a Budget Boost and 31-32.
I have a 2" suspension + 1" body lift and motor mount lift to fit 33's.

It's about an hour and a half for me. You must live way up in the sticks.
Never camped there. I guess I would have if my clutch was toast.
Short, one last thing that I though about. I6's use a flat tappet engine so friction can create problems. Use a high quality oil with lots of ZDDP. I think Valvoline VR1 is one. I personally use Mobil Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40. Newer oils have removed the ZDDP and replaced it with other compounds. They aren't great. I can't remember specifically but I think at minimum you want and A3 stamp on the oil. Common newer engines use rollers so friction is less critical. Not so with the I6. Also it takes 6 quarts not the typical 5.

I speed. Like a red flash on the highway. To hell with MPG!
A GTG, what are you nuts? I'm afraid of you people. I'm only witty and funny on the Internet. IRL I'm an asshole.
