I want to buy a new knife. I really like the Sebenzas but just can't pull the price yet. I've seen some A.G. Russell stuff that I like that's kind of built like that. I want medium sized and pocket shredder proof. I swear every pair of jeans I own are mangled. but I won't change carry positions cause it works for me. I wouldn't mind like $100 to 150 range.
Or atleast opinions on what you guys and Gals would look at. Thanks.
I apologize, about 3.5 inches max. no folding swords, lock, liner or frame, scale material smoother the better but stonewash for grip or something like that would be great. I also want to steer away from Black this time. I'd like to be able to carry around the Fucktards I have to deal with in the family without all the questions. and I need a pocket clip.
All my knives get used and if I'm cutting apart a Dashboard or something I don't want to have to staple myself shut after the process. So solid as a Rock is excellent.
At first I"d suggested you an Emerson, only hear good stuff about them. Then I read that you want to bring it to the family as well w/o any questions asked. Well, then better not. A small blade, society friendly might be the CRKT Drifter with some metal scales. Might be too small though, but it's nice...

Definitely on the wallet, to boot.
Sometimes I think about getting a Drifter just to beat the shit out of when I play Army.
But then I got a Tenacious.
I have both. I have to say, depending on the task both are fine knives. The drifter managed to kick the Tenacious out of my pocket (got it in the GE on Christmas at the other place) due to it's smaller size. For every day tasks it's totally fine and converted me to get smaller knives. The Tenacious is a beater compared to it... But also very nice and comfy IWB.

The Bradley Alias and Alias II are regarded as a lower cost version of the Sebenza:
Ti scales, stonewash blades, framelock. The Alias is the larger one. There is also a blue handle version.
You should also look at the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, or the Ritter Mini-Griptilian. These may be no-goes because of the lock and or the lack of Titanium, but they are hard-working knives with a lot of color choices.
The Spyderco Techno is in your price range, and fits your other requirements.
I'm also going to recommend against the Boker/Curtiss Nano. It's a great knife for EDC, but it's size makes it hard to recommend for heavier tasks. One of our own also chipped the blade on his Nano, leading me to believe that it is too high on the Rockwell scale for rough service.
One other possible route would be to pick up something like an Izula for tough stuff, and a Nano or similar knife for when you're around knife-sensitive people.
Check your local laws about fixed blades, of course. The Izula is quite small, and should be legal, but be as certain as you can.

I really like those!!! Are they available for sale at any of the big web stores? I like Benchmade alot from what I read but the grip is not pocket friendly enough without replacement grips. Legality isn't an issue, I could carry an auto if I wanted and usually carry a Woo IWB. This would primarily be my "Fancy' KNIFE.
