"Is it mailed? Did you mail it? Where's the tracking? I'm pretty excited. I hope he cries. Think he'll cry? What a bitch."
"Q is an asshole, but he's so dumb I feel like hugging him all the time."

"I'm waiting for Digiorno to cook. Three meat, stuffed crust. It's not delivery, but no place delivers here. So. "
The ROP is the biggest I would need for my day to day use. Just wanted an idea of the size comparison. Good to know! If I need a smaller bag, I know what to look at. Thanks Corny!

The ROP is the perfect size, IMO for normal usage. The HPG and Essential fall short if you want to carry anything other than your essential carry. The HPG and Ess. are just lightweight and not overdoing it in crowded areas.
ROP is much smaller than a 3 day and even most assault packs. Super comfy. I'll get it out soon, buddy

No rush. Just thinking of options. The Ess or HPG would have rocked it over the weekend at the amusement park. No external pouches, either. Camera, wallets, phones, baby stuff and water. Knife, light, and beer optional.

I'm a bit of a bag snob. The ROP is absolutely perfect and in alot of ways better than the 2 packs I use currently-since it's still small but more capable and has the option of sling carry (which some people like for some reason ). And unbeatable for the price.
I just really have an obsession with new packs, I guess

I can see the merits of different sized bags. Hell, I have a Rescue 24 that I used regularly when I was working out of town for a week straight. But, it is way to big for current EDC uses. The Ess would be great for carrying the stuff I use back and forth to work everyday on the Harley. Especially since the Harley has no saddle bags or storage to speak of.
But, the ROP would offer more room for a jacket, lunch, or anything else a little bulkier I need to take with.
What's wrong with slings? I love the way they slide round and get in your way when you bend over, or the way the strap cuts into your neck after 30 seconds. The way the comms pouch on the 5.11 MOAB 6 slides backwards and ends up halfway down my back is cute, also. Tight enough to fit, tight enough to strangle!
Do I sound bitter? I sound bitter. I'm not. Frustrated. But not bitter.

That's a cool bag EDB. What is it? Does it come without bottle holders?

You are not going to like the answer. Make sure you're sitting down.
The bag is a SERT EDC backpack from that other forum. Picked it up with play money from selling Atwoods off.
The bottle holders are not particularly protruding when unoccupied but there isn't an option to leave them off the pack. Has a padded back panel that can hold up to a 15" laptop; and decent organization built in aside from that.
Only thing I don't like is the lack of attachment points internally. No small rings sewn on for lanyards and whatnot, like the Tom Bihn bags I already have.
