I've been asked about my keychain drivers a few times on edcf, so I thought I'd do a step by step. They're cheap to make and don't take long
Used: - Pratley Steel Putty (epoxy in putty form) from the hardware store. You can use normal epoxy but take's longer - The Cover of a damaged Audio Jack. If you carry Brass or gold items, you can get gold plated one's from the electronics store - A small piece of of paracord, a small keyring and a most nb the driver bit
Started by tying a knot on the piece of paracord and pull it through the jack cover. Had to twist the knot to get it past the threaded section
Cut 2 small pieces of the epoxy putty, mixed like normal and stuff it in the audio jack
- Shoved the bit in the epoxy, centered as best as possible and pressed the epoxy against the bit and jack cover - (To neaten the epoxy) Pushed the bit into a bit hole on my LM piranha, rolled on a hard surface then dipped my finger in water and smoothed the edges Repeated until satisfied -Cleaned the excess epoxy off the jack cover
To touch up the I just put a piece of spring from the Audio jack mentioned before on the paracord. Lastly attached a small keyring or metal ring on the paracord to put the tool on a keychain.

Nicely done! going to try this. Have you seen these in solid brass as opposed to gold plated? What kind/size of jack should I buy new in order to get started?

thanks for posting
Thanks Gamble If you want try you need to use 1/4" Jacks (for electric guitars or keyboards). I haven't seen them in brass unfortunately
