I just got an OD green Hinderer frag scale for my ZT 0550 from rsitter :) The G10 was a bit dry when I received it, but I fixed that with some precision oil, just rubbed it in the scale thoroughly and it made a huge difference. I could have put a bit less oil though, my hands, pockets and shirt are now all oily because I kinda put too much of it on... Oh well :) This thing makes a huge difference on the way the entire knife looks, the factory scale is just butt ugly in my opinion.
That looks dang sexy. Also like the blade shape. Tried the 0350 IIRC recently, built like a tank, but didn't liked the blade shape with the recurve. And the new scales look dang awesome
Not the worst article, especially at the end. Sometimes a bit hard to read for me as a non native speaker.
To recommend another, in this case book, to read, I just started and literally opened my mind about todays world. "To have or to be" from Erich Fromm. He wrote it in the 70's and you can still apply it to our times. The best thing would be if every banker, politician and millionaire would read this book and think about it. It gives so much great advice, the world would be better. And it's easy to read, not hard like other philosophic books out there.
EPIC MAIL DAY. Hope y'all didn't get bored of my monotonous background! Anyways, the postman didn't deliver anything yesterday, but today... 3 packages! Let's get started... First, a package from dawgfan76, my fifth and final SAK Cadet, limited edition 5 Colours, in black - I completed a set of something for the first time in my life
Second, a package from a great guy and a true friend, jeepsrjason, my Eagletac D25A Ti. Honestly, I can't lie, I bought this thing because it's simply beautiful. Turns out it works like a charm too, great floody white-ish beam... Can't wait til it's dark to test this baby out. I have to say, the sheath that came with this light is actually a very, very good sheath, unlike the Fenix ones. Jason also included some extra goodies, but my sister took them from me when I was taking this so they're not in the photo... Jason something tells me she'll keep both
Third package and biggest surprise came from Quixotica, that grumpy dude I love for some reason. I said I'd do some scales for him pro bono, so he sent me his SAK Scientist (discontinued, really afraid to scratch this beauty up) and a little Classic. Willydigger supplied the gorgeous cocobolo for his Scientist, and also included another extra slab, maybe because he was afraid I'd screw up the first one, or just as a little gift to me Either way, WD is a pimp. Q's initial plan was to put jade G10 on the SAK, so he included that as well...
Q also included some awesome patches, one is Villain Army... Guess I have to get a Villain now
The next thing really blew me away... I remember Q selling this in his thread, but when I glanced at it I though... "Pffft, that thing is way too colorful for me." Well, I was wrong. This is a custom pen from revs, with a psychedelic acrylic spacer and awesome stainless steel body. The colors are insanely vivid and look great in natural light. Revs polished it to a mirror shine too, I can't stress enough what a true craftsman that guy is.
Okay, this is awesome. I don't think you guys can comprehend just how awesome this is. The clip has an actual tiny wheel on the end so the pen slides in your pocket smooth as glass. I love this.
Finally, what made me happy like a jumping baby monkey... The refill is a black gel Parker one. Holy poop this thing writes nicely.
Many thanks to all three of you, especially Jason and Q for hooking me up. Man this is a good day. Gonna have a beer now :)
You mean Q's baby let him part with that pen? Thought she had gained control of the pen. I'm hoping the parts for your bolt action get here by Thursday so it is done and ready to go back to Germany with StonePaw. If they get here by Saturday, I will still be able to get it to you. The extra couple days would be nice, though.
You seen the picture of the blank after it was turned before it was sanded. Now, I just wet sand to 12,000 grit and polish it up. It will shine like MWDP's pen.
