health and auto my state requires auto insurance too (which, on that one Im totally fine with cause I dont want some jackass without insurance messing up my whip)
So, let me see if I understand IHTK's position. On one hand, he is against government forcing him to buy insurance, yet, on the other hand, he is totally for the government forcing him to buy insurance. Is that what I just read?
I see now why your Intelligence and Wisdom scores are so high.
OK, since I went a little off topic, I'll add something helpful to the OP.
I suggest you get some coffee filters, some zip ties, and some 100% silica gel cat liter- fresh, don't be cheap and try to recycle- and make yourself some DIY desiccant for inside the tube.
Ya, I understood what you said. What I have difficulty with is the inconsistency of thought. I fail to see what the "type" of insurance has to do with how one feels about the government forcing people to engage in commerce.

Because, for me, it comes down to making a decision that will only concern yourself vs one that will/can affect others. Me not having insurance doesnt hurt anyone else other than me. I've been to the doctor twice in the last 5 years...thats a lot of money wasted. BUT With auto insurance it DOES affect other people, and my view is that it protects me from others in case they do something, whether it be an accident or lack of intelligence at that moment.
Which is how I feel, as a whole, about government. I lean more towards Libertarian because if it isnt hurting anyone else then do what you want to do (ie gay marriage, smoking a bit of pot etc), but there needs to be regulations in place to help prevent the harm of others.
But the PVC storage thing: I think I am turned off by it, too, based on my circumstances. Maybe it'd be more interesting to me if I had additional areas that I could plant something on vs my backyard.
You think that not being able to pay your medical bills if, heaven forbid, something serious were to happen, has no affect on society at large? That's simply not true. Tax payers pay for other people's medical bills all the time, no? What do you think Medicare and Medicaid are? And, as a fellow Libertarian, I'd hope that you could see that forcing others to subsidize your irresponsibility is, in fact, "a harm".

The difference is, we don't get into politicall matches that it's pretty obvious are gonna be a lot of back and forth arguing and have 0 relevancy on the original topic. I'm just itching for a fight right now. Don't test me.

I was interested in the train of thought that allows someone to feel two different ways about the same idea. Yes, the idea was political, but that wasn't what I was interested in.
Moreover, aside from me going off on a bit of a tangent, I at least- unlike some others- added something useful to the conversation.
But, hey, if you feel like editing my stuff, have at it. It wouldn't be the first time.
